A new European documentation centre has been launched in Brussels with the aim of promoting public awareness of regional or minority languages and cultures. The centre was opened last night by the European Bureau for Lesser Used Languages (EBLUL) at its Brussels headquarters.
According to the project officer, Emese Bain-Medgyesi, the aim of the resource is ‘to provide a better service for all persons, associations and academics interested in minority or regional languages. ‘It is important because it will provide a broad range of information from legal matters to daily news’, Bain-Medgyesi says.
